When I went home I found my brother's old Atari. I thought these only existed in museums! I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind me borrowing it along with all his games and a few of his CDs and whatever I could find worth of any value. He wouldn't mind.......well he'd kill me but I'd return them before he visits again.
I gave up on it 2 mintues later. I can see why people upgraded.

i was playing Asteroids and i got killed and the atari froze on me. like many game systems after it, i picked it up to throw out the window but my friend stopped me and said i could sell it. oh wise friend of mine, my brother would stick the joystick up my ass if i sold his atari. but throwing it out the window might be worst.
Holy crap that thing is fucking ancient!!
I used to love pitfall. Oh, and that game that you used to have to hit the ball and not let it touch the ground. Once that shit got into high speed it would ping pong all over the god damn place and make us giggle hysterically.
Those were the days.
I'm almost certain that Atari has brought this old time console unit out of retirement and is selling it again just as a nostalgia thing.
