I was totally going to comment just what Kate Michelle said. Depends on the benefit.
But not really. Usually though, people know when they're being used, in some small corner of their brain.
"Is it wrong to take advantage of someone for personal gain?" Would've been better phrasing but anyway the answer is "NO". Because God helps those who help themselves, so get on with it and stop mincing about.
